Candleberry Art

We are Caroline and Andy, artists based in the New Forest on the South Coast of the UK.

We work in a variety of mediums including paint, pencil, printmaking and 3d objects. We also run workshops in printmaking and other art related subjects.

This is a temporary website while Andy gets around to finishing the bells and whistles site of his dreams. In the meantime here are a few examples of our work and links to our other online presences.

We are running an introduction to linocut workshop on 28 October 2024, 10am-4pm

The workshop will take place at Forest Arts in new Milton, Hampshire

For further information and Tickets go to the Forest Arts website at Forest Arts Linocut workshop

Linocut is a printing technique using a printing plate carved into linoleum, a material originally made for use as a flooring material. One of the first adopters of lino for printmaking was Pablo Picasso, who produced many prints using this technique. In this workshop we will learn how to simplify and transfer our design to the plate, how to engrave the plate and finally to ink the plate and transfer the image to paper.
